My work focuses on unraveling the layers of the ultimate human experience. I am guided through life seeking answers to life’s greatest questions. More often than not, these questions lead not to answers, but to more questions. Probably because there is no single one-size-fits-all answer… to anything. But I’ll go ahead and keep asking questions with a heart lead by the friendly tug of curiosity.

Most importantly – what makes us human, why does it matter, & how do we get there?

In order to unravel these layers, first we have to remove the layers that have built up around your heart. They provide comfort, like a warm hug in flickering candlelight. But the thing about comfort is that it often leads to stagnancy; and before you know it, that comfort that felt so snug begins to suffocate you. The tricky thing is that this happens over months, years, or a lifetime… so we don’t notice it until it’s too late.

You know that saying – if a frog is put in tepid water & slowly brought to boil, it will not perceive the danger & will be cooked to death. We are the frogs. Modern society is the boiling water. And people’s expectations of what your life is supposed to look like is the pot that holds it all together.

The side effects range from general discontent, to depression – but instead of healing the source of the problem – that is, a lack of purpose – we cover our complacency with a bandage. Prescription medicine, toxic relationships, co-dependency, excessive drinking, drug use, marijuana, television, social media, people-pleasing.

Wherever you’re at in this journey, please remember one thing. It is not your fault.

I know these layers all too well. Most of them are woven from fear, and the dreaded question:

What if?

If the thread binding these layers together is that of fear, then the fabrics are made up of the stories we have been told, and continue to tell ourselves, making up this cozy blanket wrapped around our hearts.

I’m not good enough. I’m not enough. I’m too much. I don’t work hard enough. I don’t deserve this. Life is supposed to look like X. I’m ugly. I’m fat. It’s impossible. My dreams are unrealistic. I need to grow up. I need to be responsible. I need to act like an adult. 

These layers have built up over a lifetime, and some of them have been hanging around for so long that we’ve started to believe these things ourselves!

But they’re only stories. So if we want to shift your reality, the first thing we need to do is rewrite the narrative.

And all of this begins with… building a solid, unshakeable & unapologetic foundation. If we don’t focus on this foundation, we may as well start building the roof of a house balancing between stilts. With a solid foundation, we can work from the ground up – so that when uncertainty strikes, we bend… we don’t break.

To be human means to use your body, and to know how to fuel it for optimal performance – physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Together, we’ll build the bridge between where you are today, and where you want to be tomorrow.
