And when our time is short, healthy eating is often one of the first things to go. Isn’t it ironic that during the times when we need to take care of ourselves the most, it’s the first thing we neglect?
Even as someone who loves the full-sensory experience of eating a hearty, love-infused meal, sometimes life would feel so much easier if I could only replace a meal with an IV.
That’s where I come in, with delicious Paleo meals delivered to your door each week.
Why? Because I believe that as a lifestyle choice, some variation of Paleo-ish is a sustainable foundation to develop a personal dietary practice from. A rigid prescription of strict Paleo might not be the best approach for everyone, but at the root of my nutritional method is the simple approach to eating real, high-quality food from as close to the source as possible: grass-fed beef, pasture-raised chicken, wild & sustainably sourced fish, healthy fats, complex carbs… all with attention to seasonal and local availability, when possible.
My introduction to Paleo coincided with my introduction to CrossFit in 2009, and before I was legally an adult, I learned the difference between sustainable healthy eating vs. dieting. I’ve been fortunate that as a female in modern society, conventional dieting has never been a part of my life; but I can still recognize the challenges for clients to break out of that limiting relationship with food.
For me, Paleo (or Primal) is not a bandwagon trend that I’m just now hopping on. From 2013 – 2020, I worked as a chef, stylist, and food photographer for Paleo Magazine. If you shopped at Whole Foods in those years, chances are you’ve seen my photos while waiting in line at checkout. This partnership showed me an abundance of recipes, creative cooking experience, and a continued commitment to developing deliciously healthy food.
When people tell me that they’re not able to sustain the diet plan of plain baked chicken breasts and steamed broccoli from their trainer, I have an arsenal of flavorful dishes up my sleeve.
I am adamant: Clean eating does not have to be boring.
