Welcome to The Primal Revolution!
— a one-woman creative studio specializing in all things delicious, paleo, and rooted in a slower, more intentional way of living.
Chances are, you’ve found your way here because we’re already in conversation about working together (yay!). If you’ve accidentally stumbled here, you can find out more about me and see my published work over here. Below, you’ll find details about the different photography, writing, and creative packages I offer.
Behind every beautifully styled food photo, recipe, or studio setup, I bring over 15 years of experience working commercially within the primal and paleo health industries. My decade spent living and working across Europe adds a global lens to my storytelling — one that’s deeply shaped by culture, tradition, and flavor. From working as the head photographer at Paleo Magazine for almost a decade, to capturing stories on agriturismo farms across Italy…
These rates are designed for small to mid-sized businesses with a local or regional reach. If you’re a national or international brand (or publication) looking for custom content, feel free to reach out for a tailored quote — I’d love to hear what you’re envisioning.
I can’t wait to co-create something beautiful together!
Long-Term Partnerships & Retainer Packages
While one-off shoots are always welcome, my favorite way to work with brands is through long-term collaboration. I recommend starting with a three-month agreement — this gives us time to build momentum and test how content, advertisements, and promotions are performing across your platforms.
For longer-term work, I offer custom retainer packages designed to meet your specific goals. We’ll look at your budget, map out your short- and long-term needs, and craft a monthly content plan that works for you. This may include a mix of:
-
Recipe photography
-
Product or lifestyle images
-
Written content
-
Social media features
-
Cross-promotion with aligned publications or platforms
Each month can adapt depending on what’s working — performance insights and brand shifts are part of the process.
All rates include things like insurance, equipment, props, styling tools, backgrounds, and more. I’ve compiled a comprehensive list at the end of the page for all those details!

What Goes Into a Recipe Photo?
The art of recipe photography goes beyond snapping a pretty picture of food. Behind every final image is a multi-step creative process that often includes:
Testing and retesting a recipe (once for taste, again for plating and photography)
Sourcing ingredients that look as good as they taste
Prepping and styling with studio or natural light, texture, and sensory emotion in mind
A variety of shots — overhead, macro, lifestyle, action, details
Post-production editing to adjust lighting, color balance, and clarity without losing realism
In most professional shoots, a chef, stylist, photographer, and editor work together to create one recipe story. I do all of that — and I love it.
Recipe development is an art form I’ve honed over 15 years working in the primal and paleo food world. I’ve lived in cultures where slow food is a way of life, not a marketing trend — and I bring that way of living into every frame. A bonus? Paleo came and went as a trend, but there is still a strong, devoted niche behind the diet and lifestyle. Having recipes that cater toward paleo, primal, and gluten-free are great for building traffic from SEO and Pinterest!
